Lunar Eclipse

These were taken on 10 November 2003 from my back garden with an SLR mounted on my telescope in place of the eyepiece. 100ASA film was used, and the exposures were about 1-2 seconds.

It was a very cloudy night, and I could only snatch the occasional photo as the moon appeared through the gaps. I reckon some of the halo in the pictures is caused by thin cloud gettting in the way. Note that in the final photograph the moon is dim enough for four or five stars to be visible - normally the moon is much too bright.
